Somerset Stages 2012

Friday afternoon, having arrived in Minehead at the trailer park, where all cars are deposited by the owners so they can proceed to Noise & Scruteneering, we set about Scotts car and cleaned it again so it will look it's best in front of the cameras.
The new corporate sweatshirts went down a treat with everyone

Saturday morning see's us at the service area which is situated in Butlins itself on a massive car park. The service is rammed with cars ready to take on the Somerset Stages. We have added some new Logo's to the car, the bonnet one has grown and been placed higher up towards the scoop, one upside down on the rear spoiler so when the boot lid is up you can see us. We placed 2 smaller ones on the rear wing panels too.
Overnight the car was outside and what with driving to the service area on Saturday morning, the car is slightly dirty again and that will never do. So we set about the car again.

Everything has to be right with the looks of the car.
The Forest tyres go on now, then later the new "Slicks". Much needed for the Porlock Stage of tarmac later this afternoon.
Forests first....
Forest Tyre

Tarmac Tyres

Tarmac tyres slightly "Run in"on the way from the digs to the start.
Bailey gets himself strapped in with Scott looking on

All strapped in bailey?
At around 3.30 all of the teams efforts sadly came to nothing though and  after 3 forest stages and one run at Porlock Hill, lying 38th overall & 8th in Class fate decided to bite us in the rear literally.
On the start line ready for the 2nd "Flying run" at Porlock Hill, as the lights changed to green and dropping the clutch the rear nearside drive-shaft snapped in two thereby ending Scott & Will's rally.
Bad luck lads but there is always next year.

We at Bullet thank Scott, Will and all at Forvin Rallysport & Quick Motorsport for making us feel so welcome and part of the team yet again. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend.
