What a weekend.....

Well the weekend of rallying got off to a great start in Newtown, mid wales. Scruteneering went well and new tyres were fitted ready for the Forest stages.
Lost time on SS1 & SS2, tyres actually were not right from the start. Went into Myherin SS3 pushing as much as possible and 9 miles into the stage,4 left fast,4 right long Scott went off, 45 feet down a ravine hitting 2 tree stumps on the way.
Car was wrecked but Scott & Will are well.
Prodrive and other organizations have offered their help in rebuilding the car.

So we will be back sports fans.

News update....

Hi all, well it has been a long long time since I last posted any blogs, sorry.

We at Bullet are going through some very exciting times at the moment. Some I can talk about and some I can't. I know it's a bugger but I will tell when I can.

I am in talks with a company at present that will be taking us in another direction. We will be supplying our Quick Detailer spray wax in larger size vessels for the Trade. That is still waiting though for the paperwork to be signed and the order(s) to be placed.

We have sent some sample Q.D. & The Home Multi Surface down to a super Yacht currently moored in Palma, Majorca's harbour. She is a very distinguished vessel owned by a very distinguished English Gentleman. The crew have tried the Multi Surface inside the ship and as predicted by yours truly, it outshone all other products they currently use.
The crew will be using the outside Q.D. soon when the tapes come off after the painters finish then they are going to try it out on the new paint BUT also on the ship's bridge windows as a test.
They will be using Rainex on one half of the windows and our Quick Detailing Spray Carnauba Wax on the other half.

I know where my 50p bet will be placed. Ours will win hands down on durability, water shedding and ease of use. It takes, apparently, 30minutes per bridge window to apply Rainex!!
Ours is 30 seconds and then you would be considered a slouch.

I guess that's all I can say at the moment & I still have things to sort for Shelsley tomorrow.

Have a great weekend Y'all, I know I will.

It's been a while....

Again it has been a while since my last Blog...
We at Bullet have sooooo many stones in the air at the moment and I cannot talk about any of them except to say that some rather interesting people are interested in us at this time.
Jonno (Marketing Guru to Bullet) says that "If all the stone fall at once Dad, you had better be ready"
How, then, can you be "Ready" for the Unknown?
How many units will they have? Who do we get to box them? How many 1 gallon containers will they purchase a month?
Questions, questions.

Somerset Stages 2012

Friday afternoon, having arrived in Minehead at the trailer park, where all cars are deposited by the owners so they can proceed to Noise & Scruteneering, we set about Scotts car and cleaned it again so it will look it's best in front of the cameras.
The new corporate sweatshirts went down a treat with everyone

Saturday morning see's us at the service area which is situated in Butlins itself on a massive car park. The service is rammed with cars ready to take on the Somerset Stages. We have added some new Logo's to the car, the bonnet one has grown and been placed higher up towards the scoop, one upside down on the rear spoiler so when the boot lid is up you can see us. We placed 2 smaller ones on the rear wing panels too.
Overnight the car was outside and what with driving to the service area on Saturday morning, the car is slightly dirty again and that will never do. So we set about the car again.

Everything has to be right with the looks of the car.
The Forest tyres go on now, then later the new "Slicks". Much needed for the Porlock Stage of tarmac later this afternoon.
Forests first....
Forest Tyre

Tarmac Tyres

Tarmac tyres slightly "Run in"on the way from the digs to the start.
Bailey gets himself strapped in with Scott looking on

All strapped in bailey?
At around 3.30 all of the teams efforts sadly came to nothing though and  after 3 forest stages and one run at Porlock Hill, lying 38th overall & 8th in Class fate decided to bite us in the rear literally.
On the start line ready for the 2nd "Flying run" at Porlock Hill, as the lights changed to green and dropping the clutch the rear nearside drive-shaft snapped in two thereby ending Scott & Will's rally.
Bad luck lads but there is always next year.

We at Bullet thank Scott, Will and all at Forvin Rallysport & Quick Motorsport for making us feel so welcome and part of the team yet again. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend.

Been a while.....

It's been a while since my last ramblings but here goes again. We are in the process of change here at Bullet H.Q., new products like a pack of 10  x 40cmx40cm MicroFibre cloths for just £ 9.97 + the dreaded P&P.
We used to absorb the Post cost but with postage going up in a few days then we can no longer absorb it.....Sorry.
We are getting ready for a busy season of shows and motorsport.
This weekend, 20th April, see's us off to Butlins, Minehead for the Somerset Stages Rally with Scott & Will. Good luck boys. Wednesday I am going to Quick Motorsport to get Scott & Wills car polished ready for the rally. Supposed to be a rather big event too.
May 5th &6th is our first Shelsley Hillclimb. More on that later.
June 2nd-5th is Jubilee weekend and Crick Boat Show. Bring that one on.

That's all for today as I have to go walk the pups now and get tea ready.......

Quote of the day...

Quote of the day Wednesday.." Can I buy some more polish please as my husband has hidden his from me and I want to hide the new one from my cleaners as they have used all my last lot of Bullet"....
Now we are seeing a steady stream of returning customers who are chuffed with the product and the service we provide.
One gentleman said that the Hi Shine has "Worked wonders with the paintwork on his boat".
This pleases us greatly.
We believe in our product and people who buy it & use it do to.

Re-Branding

I am soooooo excited today....The new presentation boxes for the Bullet Carnauba Wax Spray Kit came today. Put that with the new trigger spray bottles and the new bottle labels and you have a person about to PMP.
This re-branding malarkey can be dangerous for an old blokes heart you know. I will take pics and post them later.
Trust me it's worth the wait.

A sad day

Today is a sad day for me. The day I had hoped would not come but like taxes we cannot cheat death. Today is the funeral of a man I have admired from as long as I can remember.
Next to my own father he was brilliant in what he did. My father was a brilliant engineer & my uncle Ted was a brilliant builder and business man.
When I first started out in business his advice was"Never give an opinion unless asked, Never haggle over a price & if you say you will start on that date, stick to it" I always played by those rules all the time I was a decorator.
Now I am in a different line of business and to some extent the same rules apply. Never disrespect your competitors, Give a little on price if the numbers allow & always offer a first class service to your customers.
We will say goodbye to Edward Oakey today. Like my father, a true gentleman who played by the rules most of the time.
Ted, John, Mary, Pat & Charlie are together somewhere I think......you never know do you?

A great start to march

Things are changing very quickly this month. We changed the office around then the website is being changed to include better picture viewing, the ability to post video etc to the home page and we are now looking at boxing the products up for retail stands. Oh and we have our first Marine distributor in BWML.
So all in all a great start to March

Waterways World

Well the Waterways World article has really sent the internet sales into hyper drive. We feel that the narrow boat and pleasure craft users are not happy with what is currently available in the marketplace. I visited Diglis Dock, Worcester this afternoon and found nothing in the chandlers and the local floating cafe was getting ready for the new season. Enter me with polish and cloths to show how easy ours is to use. Going back in a week to polish the other half and use it as a photo/PR opportunity.

Winter returns....Apparently!

Apparently, winter is about to return with the Russians lending us some of their snow and ultra cold temperatures. So.....
The home made bread has just finished & filling the house with that beautiful aroma of fresh baked, the day is gorgeously sunny but chilly, the Pups behaved on the walk, through pheasants too!! and a load of logs has just arrived for my wood burner. So.....
Bring it on.

Once the car is washed...

Once you have washed your car and you are happy with the results we are telling our clients to adopt a new way of finishing the cleaning/polish process.
1.Blade the vehicle off with a silicone type blade.
2. Using the "Putting on cloth" that you used when first applying Bullet, use this cloth to chamois the bodywork & glass to remove the remaining water.
3. Once this is done then go over the vehicle again with the dry "Taking off cloth" which then buffs up the glass and paintwork.

This method means that you are putting on a minute amount of Bullet Q.D. from the "putting on cloth".
Of course if you have washed the cloths after each polishing then you will have to fresh polish again.

Vassily Arrives

Vassily has arrived on my doorstep at long last. I ordered car Insurances thru Compare the Market.com and am qualifying for a cuddly Meerkovo Boxed toy.
Vassily is now with me in my office watching all that I do & getting under foots. Simples........

What will I wash my car with Dad?

Well, Happy new Year to everyone, hope you had a safe and messy NYE. I Did.

Now, about blogging, I am not good at it but here goes.
What will I wash my car with Dad?
Being a purveyor of vehicle polish like I am, I am now very against Mechanical car washes and "Wash&Wax".
I used to hate washing and polishing a car but now since I import one of the best Quick Detailing polishes there is....I am biased.
Lets get washing, then hand polishing our cars, bikes, boats even.
So to washing, "What will I use if not Wash n Wax?"
Simples....DO NOT USE FAIRY LIQUID. It has salt in it would you believe. Read the label if you do not believe me. We recommend either a dedicated vehicle wash soap OR Lidl cheap shower gel.
Yup.....it is PH neutral, no salt, cleans the car/truck/bike brilliantly  & smells good too.
THEN..... Bullet HI SHINE or Bullet Polish & Protector Q.D.Spray.
End of.
